This is the first year that the National Champion will be decided on a two competition basis. The competition at Dunlap represents the first competition with the second competition being held at Inspo in August.
In a similar format to the PWC, pilots will be able to drop one task in 4 over the two competitions. This means that over the 2 competitions with a potential 13 tasks, the champion will be decided on their best 11 tasks should all 13 tasks be run. GAP scoring formula to be used throughout the two events.
There will be first, second and third prizes for the following categories.
Open class,
Serial class
Sports class
In addition there will be a prize for the top lady.
The meet headquarters for the competition will be at the St Nichols Ranch where it is expected that all pilots will stay.
Pilot Requirements. To fly in the competition all pilots must have:
USHPA membership, minimum P3 rating, XC & Turbulence sign offs, or similar international equivalents.
serviceable reserve,
2m band radio able to send and transmit on the USHPA frequencies
GPS unit that records 3D tracklogs. (I think that the Garmin 12 does not).
if you wish to fly at Dunlap and not compete during the event, we are looking for wind technicians. Please contact Jugdeep if you wish to be a wind dummy. Discounts will apply. |
